Banana, Mango, Papaya Sauce

  • 4 containers Y.I.M.T Banana, Mango, Papaya stage 2 baby food
  • 1/3 cp brown sugar
  • 2 tsp worcestershire sauce
  • 1 T vegetable oil
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 2 cloves garlic, coarsely chopped

Add all ingredients to a bowl, mix with wire whip till well blended. Sauce is great as a marinade for chicken wings or ribs. Use half or sauce as marinade, save other half of sauce and use to baste while baking wings.


Apple Cranberry Rum French Toast with Apple Cranberry Maple Syrup

  • 6 large eggs
  • 2T granulated sugar
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • ¼ cup heavy cream
  • 2 co. YIMT Apple Cranberry stage 2 baby food
  • 1 tsp. pure vanilla extract
  • 4 slices day old brioche, sliced ½ inch thick
  • 4T unsalted butter
  • 4T vegetable oil

Apple Cranberry maple syrup, recipe follows:

Whisk together eggs, sugar and salt in a large bowl. Add milk, cream, apple cranberry and vanilla and whisk till combined. Place brioche in large baking dish, pour egg mixture over and turn to coat, let sit for 5 minutes. Heat butter and oil in large sauté pan over high heat, and brioche and cook until golden brown, flip over and continue cooking until golden brown on second side.

Apple Cranberry maple syrup:

  • 1 cup pure maple syrup
  • 1 container YIMT Apple Cranberry baby food
  • ½ cup white rum (optional)

Heat maple syrup over low heat in a medium saucepan, add Apple Cranberry baby food and rum and let simmer for 10 minutes.


Sweet potato Waffles

  • 5 containers YIMT Sweet Potato stage 1 baby food
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • 2T baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 4 eggs 2 cups whole milk
  • 6 T vegetable oil

Pre-heat waffle iron. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. In a separate bowl, combine eggs, milk, oil and YIMT Sweet Potato bay food, whisk until smooth. Add the wet mixture into the dry mixture, slowly mix to avoid lumps, let the batter rest for 5 minutes. Griddle the waffles according to manufacturer’s instructions. Recipe may be prepared with any of YIMT stage 1 and 2 baby foods.


Banana Mango Papaya- White Rum Smoothie

  • 4 containers YIMT Banana Mango Papaya stage 2 baby food
  • 2 cups Greek yogurt
  • ½ cup white rum
  • Crushed ice
  • 2 to 4 T simple syrup (optional)

Combine YIMT Banana Mango Papaya baby food, yogurt rum and a few cups of crushed ice in a blender until smooth and frothy, add simple syrup if needed, divide among 4 glasses and serve.


Silken Smoothie

  • 1 cup soy milk
  • 2 T honey
  • 1 lemon, juiced
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ cup soft silken tofu
  • 4 containers of your choice of YIMT stage one fruit baby foods

Combine all ingredient in a blender and blend until smooth.


Sweet Potato Pie

Filling:

  • 5 containers YIMT sweet potato baby food
  • 4T unsalted butter
  • 2 large eggs
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup light brown sugar
  • ¼ cup light corn syrup
  • 1 T vanilla extract
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • ½ tsp fine salt
  • ¼ t ground nutmeg
  • ¼ t ground ginger
  • Pinch ground cloves

Dough:

  • 1 ¼ cups all- purpose flour
  • 2 T sugar
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ cup shortening
  • 8 T unsalted butter (1 stick)
  • 1 large egg yolk
  • 1 T cider or white wine vinegar

Pre heat oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit:

To make dough, pulse the flour, sugar and salt in a food processor with the metal blade until combined. Add shortening and pulse about 10 time. Add the butter and continue to pulse until it resembles cornmeal mixed with beans size bits of butter. Remove the blade, and gather the dough together by hand. If the dough does not come together, sprinkle up 1 T of ice cold water over dough and bring together. Wrap dough in plastic wrapand shape into a disk. Refrigerate for up 1 hour.

Lightly dust a counter with flour, roll the dough into a 11 inch circle and transfer to a 9 inch pie pan, trim the dough so the edges hang about a ½ inch over the pan, fld edges under and flute as desired. Pierce the crust all over, using a fork, and refridgerate for at least 20 minutes. Position a rack in the lower third of a preheated oven. Line the crust with foil. Bake crust till brown around the edges, about 25 minutes. Remove foil from crusts edges, lower oven to 375 degrees F. and bake for about 10 to 12 more minutes. Remove crust from oven.

Combine all filling ingredients making sure filling is completely combined and free of any lumps. Pour filling into pie crust, return to oven and bake until filling is set, about 20 minutes, remove from oven and cool on a rack.

For pumpkin pie, replace YIMT sweet potato baby food with YIMT spiced pumpkin baby food, omit cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger and cloves. Follow all other intructions.
